Educational technology provider CuriooEdu Global announced plans to significantly expand its African footprint by establishing CuriooKids branches across East Africa, with initial operations targeting Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ethiopia.
The expansion follows the company's signing of an exclusive agency agreement with Curioo Limited for the Sub-Saharan Africa region, marking a pivotal step in bringing innovative educational solutions to the continent.
“This expansion represents our commitment to quality education and equal access for all children across Africa,” said a CuriooEdu spokesperson during the announcement.
Comprehensive Market Research Precedes Expansion
Prior to this strategic move, CuriooEdu conducted extensive market research spanning 17 countries, including 13 African nations. These comprehensive studies were showcased at a recent Cairo forum, attracting attention from educational organizations and potential investors who share the company's vision for transforming education across the continent.
The research highlights significant opportunities for educational technology in East Africa, where digital learning solutions can help overcome infrastructure challenges and expand access to quality education in both urban and rural areas.
"Education for the Future” Forum Catalyzes Regional Collaboration
The expansion announcement builds on momentum generated during CuriooEdu's "Education for the Future" forum held in Cairo in July 2023. The two-day event, organized in partnership with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) under Egypt's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, brought together key stakeholders from across Africa and the Middle East. With Mr. Paul Blackstone, Group CEO of Curioo Ltd., delivering an outstanding lecture on the Curioo education model.
Notable participants included representatives from UNESCO, ISESCO, Misr University for Science and Technology, and The Egyptian E-Learning University, creating a platform for cross-sector dialogue on educational innovation.

The forum featured contributions from several high-profile former ministers and current educational leaders, including:
